Acceptance

By using this website or commissioning SoftEng Lab, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or request an engagement.

Services described

Pages describing fraud flag review, unusual transaction monitoring assessment, ledger exception walkthroughs, and pre-audit cleanup are informational. A binding engagement begins only when both parties accept a written engagement note or quote.

No substitute for statutory audit

SoftEng Lab does not replace your appointed statutory auditor, legal counsel, or regulator-mandated reporting. Our memos are advisory classifications based on evidence you provide.

Intellectual property

Website content, branding, and original wording belong to SoftEng Lab. Engagement deliverables are licensed to the commissioning client for internal use. Redistribution outside the client group requires prior written consent.

Client responsibilities

You warrant that materials shared for review are obtained lawfully and that you have authority to disclose them. You remain responsible for escalation decisions and for filings with banks, auditors, or authorities.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of Taiwan, SoftEng Lab is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from website use or from decisions made solely on the basis of an advisory memo. Our aggregate liability for a paid engagement is limited to fees paid for that engagement unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Courts in Taiwan have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from website use or SoftEng Lab engagements, unless a signed engagement letter specifies a different forum.

Changes

We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the site after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
